As part of an assignment, we were asked to create a title sequence in after effects for a hypothetical tv show or film. 'Thompson' is supposed to be a punkesc crime drama with some clear inspirations coming from Luther or more randomly the inbetweeners. The Black, White and Red is an iconic contrast that gives this a clear aesthetic, coupled with the music presents this is a rather grungy, metallic/rock bloody crime drama.

This was a documentary I made back in the late spring/early summer of 2021 as part of a university documentary project. The story of my great grandma has always been an interesting one i've wanted to have captured but hadn't done so till now. This project suffered from the issue of running out of time to be able to explore all the points I wished to cover. Perhaps one day ill edit the nearly 2 hours of footage I have together and see the full story in its entirety.

This is a short test film for my experimental film assignment at university. I am exploring the connections between our ancient past and the present and how we experience a time since long forgotten. Primarily inspired by the works of John Green and his book/podcast "the Anthropocene Reviewed."

I do not own this song. This video was made as a university assignment, exploring making a music video with motion graphics, typeface, adobe colour wheel and art deco stylings, in adobe after effects. This was extremely fun and at times difficult to make. Hope you enjoy the video. :D

As part of a college commission for homeless charity, "Simon on the streets", we were given the chance to create a promotional video that has the potential to be used on their website. If this video does end up on their website, i will privatise this video. Otherwise this is a positive advert for a charity in need. This video is essentially free advertising in a positive light as requested by the organisation. Better to have uploaded this late than never. Some footage has been omitted, including one interview with a woman working at the NHS, who stated that between 2025 to 2050, they would be investing in ambulances run on hydrogen. This protest, took place on the 20th of September 2019, as an extinction rebellion protest calling for the government to do action in the face of climate change issues. I personally, do not follow or particuarly like extinction rebellions methods or apocalyptic message, but it is important to at the very least display history and information in impartial light for all to get the best quality of out come for you to create your own opinions. This was incredibly interesting to film.

Leeds Light Night is a light festival where models, sculptures and wall art ustilising spectacular light shows are displayed all around the city centre. as part of our college project we had to make a video that would appear on the side of a video and include no sound or dialogue and be in the them of MIND BODY AND SPIRIT. I feel we embodied that perfectly fine here and it has a unique presentation. If I had to do it again though I would like to add more frames and extend the video. make the stop motion more fluid.
